One Thing That Set Me Free: My Writing Journey!

I write every day. It brings me absolute joy, whether I’m writing on this platform, in my journal, or working on a book. I enjoy all things writing because it helps me express myself, regardless of my mood.

I keep a spiritual journal, a business journal, a goal journal, and a daily journal. Hey, that’s just how I’m wired, and it works for me.

I have several desks, loads of papers, books, pens, and paperclips.

Not only can I call myself a writer, but as of a few short months ago, I can call myself an author of my first book, ‘Less Worry, More Peace’.

I didn’t think I had the nerve to become an author, but several things happened when I started writing.

I will share one now ….

When I first started writing regularly about 2-3 years ago, I realized that I was comfortable writing about what I was comfortable with. Initially, I did not venture outside that box. My first blog/podcast was about my mother because at the time, that was the heaviest thing on my heart. I soon realized that I had many stories in me. I needed to trust God and trust the process. I am glad I did!

The scriptures

I can do all things in Christ that strengthen me. – Philippians 4:13

And greater is He that is in me than anything in the world resonated with me.

I John 4:4

I began to meditate on these two scriptures, which serve as my anchor and foundation today.

That is why it was easy to come up with my first book. I write to settle myself, whether it is from dealing with complex relationships or what I tell myself, which is often negative, causing me to doubt myself on many levels. This book shows us that when we take it day by day and break it down into manageable pieces, what is causing us to worry is not as scary as we thought it would be.
