Wisdom of it All

Proverbs Chapter 12

Verse 24

Hands that work hard will rule. But people who don’t want to work will become slaves.

OR

The diligent find freedom in their work; the lazy are oppressed by work.

This scripture is true because you will always be behind when you are lazy and refuse to work or go to school. This is not good or what you deserve. Let us take a look at some reasons why this is the case.

Firstly, when you neglect your responsibilities and choose not to work or attend school, you miss crucial personal and professional growth opportunities.

Additionally, laziness can lead to missed chances to learn new skills, expand your knowledge, and build a foundation for a successful future.

Moreover, when you consistently avoid work and education, you may struggle to keep up with the pace of life and fall behind in various aspects, including career advancement and personal development.

Therefore, it is essential to recognize the importance of diligence and commitment to work and education to lead a fulfilling and purposeful life.

So, how can you go from being unmotivated to motivated? Well, I am glad you asked.

Below you will find some great tips to get you started.

Tips on becoming motivated

Goals

Set some real goals, the ones that connect with you and your passion.

It’s not anyone else’s goal but something that makes your eyes brighten or puts a smile on your face.

Nothing comes to mind. Think back to when you were younger, full of hope and innocence. What were you passionate about then? It was something. Start there!

Tell yourself you got this and can do all things in Christ Jesus because He is your strength!

Routines – Give Purpose

Start creating routines. This will give you purpose and something to look forward to.

That Inner Voice

What is it telling you?

First Inner Voice

Watch and listen to what your inner voice is saying is it telling you that you will not amount to anything, or have you tried before, and it did not work?

Second Inner Voice

Or is your inner voice telling you that you can do this and that you will succeed? Anything worth having, you will need to make your mind up and put one foot forward to accomplish your goals.

Listen to the Second Inner Voice.

Challenge that inner critic and tell it you are the head and not the tail, that you are above and not beneath, and that you can do all things through Christ Jesus because He is your strength.

Tap Into Your Source

Here are some scriptures to quiet that inner critic

Deuteronomy 28:13 New King James Version (NKJV)

And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Philippians 4:13

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.

Like anything that is worth fighting for you will have to say this over and over again until it gets in you and becomes a part of you .

So What Am I Saying?

If your desire is

Not to get taken advantage of

To Not Get Under paid or cheated

Not To Get Looked Over for Promotions

And To Be Taken Seriously

Or To Be Independent Financially

Then give your best effort, whether working for someone, starting your own business, or returning to school. All require dedication and commitment.

You can do it! Yes, you can!
