A fool is a person who acts unwisely.

There are a couple of ways I can approach this verse because I have been on both sides of the coin. I have not listened and done things and thought that I knew what I was doing only for it to come back and bite me in the behind.
On the other hand, I have taken wise counsel followed it and have been blessed.

The Question
When do I listen or when do I say no thank you, I got this?
There have been several situations that have come up in my life where I have needed some advice followed their advice and was blessed beyond measure.
As a matter of fact, I am still being blessed by the decision I made to follow the advice.
On the other hand, I was given some advice or whether the advice was forced on me and I rejected it. Here is why –
- They came at me – they did come to me. They were aggressive in the way they approached me.
- Instead of them being kind they appeared to be hostile and angry. They insisted that something bad would happen to me if I did not do some things.
- Well needless to say I did not receive or hear anything they were saying. I did not do those things and nothing bad happened.
- Years later, they came, and they apologized to me.
Looking back, I know I did some things right when it came to the last example. First, they were my elder, so I did hear them out. I did not disrespect them. I was taught better.
And secondly, though I listened to her words I did not follow her advice. The things they were saying were just not true therefore I did not make them my truth.

When we use God’s wisdom it is important to know that we can learn from almost anything when we open ourselves up to listen.
Sometimes when you listen
You can learn and know what not to do
Or be Inspired to do
Gives you courage
Save you from hardship and heartache
Sometimes listening to others can make your life easier
And sometimes when you listen it can answer some unanswered questions.
Or listening to others can help you appreciate your life
Summing It Up
Here is what I have learned. I have learned that God loves us unconditionally through our good times and bad and with our faults and all.
Amen!
And He uses people to help us get from one point to another when we are struggling, need love, guidance whatever the reason.
It takes nothing away to learning the art of listening and do with the information on how you see fit.
But remember, some advice may not be for you at that moment. It may be for you later. Always have an open mind and heart.
