Wisdom of it All

Proverbs Chapter 12 Verse 16

A fool let’s people know when he is angry

But it is not easy to make a wise man angry.

I tell my grandchildren if you let people push your buttons

they will constantly be pushing your buttons.

The Meaning –

When you allow others to manipulate your emotions and reactions, it exposes your weaknesses and can lead to a cycle of frustration. Taking control of your reactions can break this cycle and prevent further escalation.

I am sure we all know someone who walks around angry or with an attitude expecting the world to understand or get over the abuse they may hurl at you when angry.

You Know –

The people where if you say even the wrong thing or look the wrong way, they are ready to carry it to another level or ready to fight.

I now understand why people who don’t easily show their emotions are hated. It’s because it’s difficult to manipulate them.

Wow!! 110% SPOT ON!!! I know one person in particular who is always angry and I feel I have to constantly walk on egg shells around them. But the sad thing is, I have tried many different routes of communication but sadly, none of them have worked which leaves me to just keep my feelings to myself to keep the peace. It’s useless expressing how I feel towards this person because they never can own up to their own toxic behavior and mistakes. They would rather turn the table around on me to make me out to be the bad guy. When they clearly know I long for their warm embrace, love, and affection. I hate feeling like I have to constantly beg for it, rather than them giving it freely. I’m at a loss as what to do. I’ve prayed about it but have yet to hear from God as what to do. I’m risking my own happiness for someone who can’t take the initiative to change.

I understand. Rest assured, you are not alone, and many marriages have survived and made it through the storm. Thank you, Father, for the full healing of their marriage.

Thank you so much. I sure hope I can hang on long enough to get through these constant storms. I honestly don’t know how much more I can take of this🥺 I deserve so much better. Is it too much to ask for love and affection? Because he sure as heck makes me feel like it.
