Peace of Wisdom

Take Your Time to Figure it Out

It happens to us all there are just some days that sucks. Some can bounce back relatively quickly, while others may take a bit longer, depending on what they have going on in their lives. Some may need to seek professional help.

This month, we will figure out how to get out of the funk we may find ourselves in. Each week I will have some great tips, quotes for inspiration, and motivation to help you get over that hump.

Yes, sometimes, we may need to set in our mood for a minute, but that does not mean we need to stay there.

What is our inspiration this week?

Take one day at a time; take one minute at a time. Sometimes, it will be moment by moment at a time. Take time to figure it out.

Whatever your process – that is your process.

Sometimes, I sit and think

I approach mine in several ways, depending on the circumstances.

  • I first check and make sure I am not just tired. Sometimes, being exhausted and not getting enough rest can take a toll on the body. When we do not take the time to recoup, then our bodies will begin to send us signals and signs that it is time to slow down.
  • I mentally recap what is happening at that moment in my life. Did someone say or did something upset me?
  • Did I do or say something to upset someone?
  • Did a significant event happen? Moving, death, marriage, illness, job relocation?
  • Am I stressed out about an upcoming event

The Word

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. – Psalm 42:11

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. – Psalm 62:5-6

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. – Isaiah 40:31

Summing It Up

Break it down and ask yourself some questions. That is the only way you will be able to get to the center of it.

Sometimes someone may have rubbed you the wrong way at work and you just need a minute to regroup.

Or you read something that got you off. The important thing is to try and recognize it.
