What things give you energy?

Connecting With Others: Your Energy Superpower

I’ve been doing daily prompts for almost a year. I appreciate being able to express myself on this platform.

However, sometimes, the questions are repetitive. To keep things fresh, I’ve decided to focus on one word in the daily prompt question and create a post from that word.

Today was easy because I decided to focus on the word energy.

However

I could have gone with the word give – which means to hand over.

I could have gone with the word you – and started with things that defined you, that set you apart from anyone else, your uniqueness.

As I said, I will go with the word energy because I immediately thought of several things that give me energy just when I think about them.

Energy is described as

Power derived from . . .

Or the power from something . . .

Yes, I can think of several things that, when I see, read, or hear, give me energy.

The physical side

I draw strength from my family – I love my entire family. Their smiles, hugs, words, and kisses. No, it’s not always happy times, but even in those moments, they give me energy.

Here are a few scriptures I wanted to share about family.

Proverbs 17:6

[6] Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
    and the glory of children is their fathers. (ESV)

 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth.
 Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

Psalms 127:3-5

The spiritual side

When I spend my study time with God,

Write in my journal.

Prayer

All of these connect me to The LORD and boost my energy without limit.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Psalm 119:105

There are many ways to boost energy. For some, it’s music, reading, sports, working out, learning, relationships, colors, eating healthy, and giving to others; the list could go on.

May you have more energy for what makes you happy.
