Okay, I’ll share my thought process regarding the prompt question.
How do you celebrate holidays?
My eyes immediately went to the word celebrate. I thought of all sorts of Holidays that the world celebrates.
Today National Hero Day is being celebrated in Angola.
Teachers’ Day is being celebrated in Honduras.
Army Day is being celebrated in Chile.
And this Saturday, Colombia will be celebrating Valentine’s Day.
There are many more. Click on the link to see how the world celebrates its Holidays!
However, I went more towards how we celebrate ourselves.
There is nothing wrong with celebrating your achievements or yourself.
There are many positive ways to treat yourself with kindness or congratulate yourself for achieving a goal.
How you do it is personal to you.
Me, Myself, and I
I indulge and pamper myself once I have completed a rather difficult task. I listen to music that is going to put my head in a good space. I connect with family and friends.
There are many things we can do to celebrate ourselves. Here is an article I found interesting.
I will share some things that caught my eye in this
12 Simple ways to celebrate yourself without spending a dime

How often you celebrate is up to you.
So why am I talking about celebrating and how to celebrate yourself?
I guess it’s because it’s important to remember to celebrate or give thanks to God, the One responsible for the celebration.
- Who gave you a way out of the difficult situation.
- He protected you through that difficult time.
- Promoted you.
- Delivered you from sickness.
- He delivered your mind from torment.
- God gave you the strength to forgive and move on.
- And for seeing another birthday.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV)
Yes, we have many things to celebrate, but we must never forget to thank our Lord first!
Grace and Peace!
