Having a healthy dose of curiosity is great, but too much or too little can work against you. When there’s too much curiosity, I call that being downright nosy. lol That’s just my opinion; sometimes there’s information overload or age-appropriate info. Not enough curiosity, and that could mean you are missing out on some great opportunities and some valuable information.
Somewhere between too much and not enough lies a perfect balance, and it’s always up to the individual.
My grandchildren are curious by nature. However, there are two of them that seem more interested than the rest.
They will ask questions from all angles until their little curiosity is satisfied.
Sometimes it can be a bit much, especially when you are trying to do several other things at the same time.
However, when I see their eyes light up as they start to understand, it’s as if their minds have connected the virtual dots. That is rewarding to see.
I believe that those who ask questions are curious and want to learn more. They seek to understand how something works from the inside out.
Curious people tend to think quickly and are deep thinkers. Most do not take anything at face value but want to know what, when, how, why, where, and which one.
And if they do not like the answer, the next question is ‘how come?”
To which sometimes my response is
Because I said so! (:
