***Disclaimer
Before I get started, I must confess that I have many more. However, I don’t want you all looking at me strangely for too long, so I’ll share the less disturbing ones. Lol
To be truthful, we all have some quirkiness going on. I love them because it is one of the things that sets us apart from each other.
I used to talk to myself all the time. Our family time would often consist of our parents sitting on the couch, while my brothers would wrestle with each other.
At night, I had the middle room, and I would hear my parents talking in their bedroom and my brothers talking in the other bedroom.
When I wanted to join in the conversation, we were all told to go to sleep. So that left me to entertain myself.
I was perfectly fine with it.
I would think of plays in my mind and act out all the characters. All of them. When I felt my rehearsals were up to par and my play was ready. I would have my mom and dad watch me act out all my parts.
Sometimes I would have costume changes, and they would wait for me to go to my room and change in and out of my clothes.
As I reminisce, I am grateful that they did not shame, discourage me, or hinder me. They allowed me to be myself.
They encouraged it. When I was a child, I felt they were obligated to watch me in all of my performances (at least some of them). Yes, life was all about me back then. Lol
And they allowed the innocence of my childhood to stay just that. Innocent. The older I get, the more appreciative I have become of my parents and what they did, as well as the sacrifices they made.
My mom is no longer with us. But the legacy she left behind was incredible!
My dad is in his mid-80s and is doing quite well!
Thanks Mom and Dad!
So, as you can see, I did not share my second and third quirky habits. I will save those for another time.
Do you have any quirky habits you’d like to share?
Thank you for stopping by!

Grace and peace!
