What was the best compliment you’ve received?

Feeling Fake

Feeling fake takes effort. In a world filled with so many artificial images, expectations, and performances, staying genuine can feel like a challenge.

Authenticity begins with the person. When we ignore our boundaries, we start brushing over our true feelings. Little by little, we drift away from who we really are.

It can also occur when we become overly focused on our appearance while neglecting the deeper parts of our lives-our character, our growth, and our inner peace.

Sometimes we deny our true feelings just to keep others happy. We say what people want to hear, agree when we really don’t, or stay silent when something doesn’t sit right with us.

And other times, we give compliments not out of sincerity, but because we’re seeking approval in return.

Being real isn’t about perfection. It’s about being truthful with yourself first. When you honor your boundaries, acknowledge your feelings, and speak from a sincere place, authenticity comes easily.

Breathe deeply. Let go. God’s peace meets us right where we are.
