What I’ve Discovered About Being Happy!
It starts from the inside out.
What makes you happy may not make me happy.
Content people tend to be less judgmental.
Happy people are not trying to ruin other people’s lives.
They are Content.
And they are at peace even when there is chaos all around.
Part of being happy begins with being grateful. Please take a look at the post I wrote the other day, if you haven’t already.
Why Being Thankful Can Make Your Life Better
When I think about God’s goodness, His grace, healing power, and tender mercy, I am reminded that He has delivered me time and again from danger and protected my mind. He has protected my loved ones near and far. I am sometimes speechless at His goodness.
Thank you, Father.
If you find yourself in a rut and need some help, I have a suggestion here for you. How strong is your gratitude life?
Gratitude is simply training your brain to notice the good around you.
What has happened is you have trained your mind to notice the negativity in life. I am not going to pretend and say that I don’t get it, because I do however.
Gratitude, like I said last time, is a purposeful act. It is easier for some of us to notice the bad around us and in others, and unfortunately, even in ourselves.
However, we can train our minds to cultivate a more grateful attitude because this not only blesses you but also those around you.
Sometimes it is okay to be unhappy. Sometimes things are not OK.
However, prayerfully, that will be for a season.
- Every day, think about your day, ponder over it, and think about three good things that happened that day.
- Could you write them down or make a mental note of them?
- It does wonders; you’ll realize you may have been overlooking the little things in your life that are beautiful.
For example, I woke up, completed the project, took a nap, arrived at my destination safely; someone did a kind gesture, or I did one myself.
Amen!
Grace and peace.
