Oh boy, there are plenty, but I’ll share this one with you because she’s here with me now, reading a book and singing Christmas songs. And we are in July.
Our youngest grandchild will be entering into the 2nd grade.
She reads like she is in the 4th or 5th grade.
She talks like she has been here before.
She is a great storyteller.
Family says she looks and acts like me.
And when she prays, she prays knowing and trusting God will hear and answer her.
This little girl has a heart for God.
I have a nickname for her. She has allowed me to call her by it and says she wants me to do so even when she grows up, gets married, and has children. Lol, we will see.
Most nights, she will call and ask me to pray for her so that she won’t have bad dreams. Now, mind you, she tries to watch scary things sometimes when she knows she’s not supposed to.
However, every now and then she has a slip up and needs some added reassurance on not having bad dreams.
And it’s Grandma to the rescue.
What I’m Most Excited About for the Next Few Years
I am excited about my granddaughter and her beautiful, quirky, and trusting spirit she has.
What will her path be?
Only God knows. I know that we are praying for wisdom, safety, and that her love for God continues to grow.
And to tell you the truth, that is our prayer for all of our grandchildren.
We have grandchildren ranging from 6 years old to adulthood, with a good mixture of girls and boys.
It will be exciting to see how they turn out and what path they will eventually follow. Our prayer for our grandchildren is that they carry God the Father with them everywhere they go and that they are aware of His presence in their lives..
No, they will not always make the right decisions; they are not perfect and live in an imperfect world. My prayer is that they will learn and grow from each of life’s lessons.
And all grow up to be the best that God has for them.
Amen!
