A head with a lock and key next to it
Daily writing prompt
Are you seeking security or adventure?

When I see the word security I think of several things in life that need to be secured.

Our homes

Our family

Our Vehicles

Mind

Body

Loved ones

Security means to protect against, and safe from danger or threat.

The one I would like to speak on is the mind.

Our mind is a precious commodity that needs protection all in ways every day. When it is not protected it can get up to all sorts of unnecessary things. Our minds unchecked can leave us to do and say things we normally would not say. Our minds can take us places we have no business going. Our minds can worry and worry until we are sick or worst our minds can worry us to death.

Therefore, our minds need encouragement daily to be the best it can be, and our mind needs protection.

Here are some scriptures and poems to encourage you!

Peace, I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 14:27

You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
    because he trusts in you.

Isaiah 26:3

“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”

Proverbs 14:30:

Peace of mind

Fake friends, real enemies Many poisons, few remedies Less wood and more bark Ye shun light to hide in the dark The peace and health of mind Was in enduring assurance one could find In loving and trusted kin and allies But rude shocks are now in great supplies Ye take pressure and bottle it up With nowhere to spill from the overflowing cup

And suddenly when you can take no more An outburst that leaves you and others sore Keep your eyes stayed on God For ye are up against odd after odd For He promises such perfect peace That baffles understanding just by its ease
