Peace of WisdomMy Words

Philippians 4:8

8 Finally, brethren,  things are true,  things are honest,  things are just,  things are pure,  things are lovely, and things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Earlier this year, I wrote a post on how healing our words could be if we let them. It was titled

The Power of Affirmations: Healing Words for a New Year

This is where I will come from. Life and death are in the power of our tongues, and we shall have what we say. Good or bad.

How to Turn Bad Thoughts into Good Ones-3

Bottled-up thoughts and emotions can lead to a hostile life.

This is the third part of a four-part series about our thoughts. And what influences our thoughts.

Our Words

I will share my journey, or at least part of it for now, on how I worked through a life of negative thoughts to a life of 80% better thought life.

I got tired of the torment. I always thought negatively and saw the wrong side before being willing to see the good side.

I realized that there were some things that I had to do. There are some things that I had to purposely be mindful of. It was hard initially to break old thought habits, but with determination, tenacity, God’s guidance, and a desire to be free. I have.

Our words influence our thoughts, and our thoughts affect our words.

Positive words create positive thoughts

Negative words create negative thoughts.

Words that produce fear

Agony

Blinded

Hazardous

Revenge

I hate you

Panic

Crisis

Crippling

Words that produce humor

Laugh

Hilarious

Comical

Silly

That was funny!

Words that produce trust

Secure

Ensured

Unconditional

Honesty

Proven

Words that produce happiness

Victory

Effortless

Heartwarming

Astounding

Inspiring

Brave

I can do it!

If you always say I’m sick and tired, you will be… you shall have what you say

If you say I don’t have anything, then you won’t…

If you say I can’t do it, you won’t be able to do it…because you shall have what you say

“Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”

― Lao Tzu

Our thoughts and words are connected. Be mindful of what comes out of your mouth.

Our Words can paint some powerful pictures

So, what am I saying?

Bad words hurt, and good words heal! Choose to use your good words! Because they produce healing and positive thoughts. Which leads to a more productive life!

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

    Great post Cadeegirl.
Good words producing good thoughts reminds me of the words parents tell their children.
