Proverbs Chapter 12
Verse 5
The plans (thoughts) of honest people are fair.
But bad people only want you to believe the false things that they say.
Verse 6
The words of very bad people can cause murder.
But the words of good people can save lives.
I combined verses 5 and 6 because as my 5-year-old granddaughter would say I see a pattern.
It is Black and White
Put quite simply, the words and actions of good people are fair and can save lives, and the words and actions of evil people are false and murderous.
I wonder if there are any gray areas.

Bad words can
create trouble and sometimes death
In 2014 a young man by the name of Conrad Roy, committed suicide. This one stuck out to me because his girlfriend convinced him to take his own life.
She knew that the young man had mental issues and had contemplated it.
She called him a coward many times and he eventually killed himself.

The words that this young lady used were bad, destructive, and caused hardship for the families and friends on both sides.
The words she used caused the death of a young man whose whole life was ahead of him, and her life will be forever changed after having served prison time.

These next two stories serve as a reminder that even when society has thrown you away and you have made many bad decisions.
Sometimes all it takes is the right word at the right time to speak into a person’s life that will change them forever. This is what happened with these two people in this story
