Let us begin with some inspirational stories.

15 Amazing People Who Beat All The Odds Against Them (thethings.com)
Bethany Hamilton
was a surfer in Hawaii who began winning competitions when she was eight. However, tragedy struck when she was viciously attacked by a 14-foot-long tiger shark, losing her left arm. Now, you’d think she would develop a fear of the waters and stop surfing, right? Wrong. This brave girl went back to surfing just one month after her attack! She taught herself to surf with one arm and won a national surfing competition less than three months after the incident. That’s what we call dedication and passion. Hamilton wrote a book about her unique story and was the subject of a feature film, Soul Surfer, in which she performed all the one-armed surfing stunts.
Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Winfrey is the queen of talk shows. But she and J.K. Rowling have a lot in common. For example, they both beat the odds by rising from poverty to becoming female billionaires (so, you know, less than 20% of billionaires are female). Oprah had a very rough childhood as her single mother worked long hours as a housemaid and left the young girl at home, where male relatives and visitors abused her. Things were so bad that Oprah tried to run away, and by age 14, she was on her own.
Became pregnant—but had a miscarriage—and went to live with her father.
Things finally turned around for her, and she excelled in school and eventually got a job as a reporter. We all know what happened since then—Oprah became the richest African American (and one of the richest people) of the 20th century, with a multibillion-dollar empire thanks to her legendary talk show, magazines, and television network.
I have used two successful individuals to illustrate that most of us, except for a few, have not faced as many difficulties and setbacks as they have. However, they have not allowed these obstacles to define their lives. They have persevered and achieved great success by overcoming them.

Victory Defined
Biblically, victory is faith, and faith is victory. Christ defeated the powers of darkness, giving believers a victorious life. This victory transcends all obstacles and challenges, achieved through Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.
So, when we say through Christ Jesus, I can do everything because he is our victory, ” it is true!
The World Define Victory as – a success in a competition or struggle.
Merriam-Webster – overcoming an enemy or achievement in a struggle against odds or difficulties.
On Television victory is viewed as – Good versus Evil with Good winning
Victory can come in many forms: spiritual, material, or everything else. However, the one constant is the presence of good and evil. Whether it’s a difficult situation, a challenging individual, work-related stress, personal or mental health issues, emotional pain, or any other form of hardship, overcoming these struggles can be a mark of triumph.
We will look at the spiritual side because, in doing that, we will be able to conquer the other versions of being victorious in our lives.

In the Bible, victory (Nikos) is mentioned five times, three of which are in the Old Testament, and the word victorious appears 49 times. And this depends on which version of the Bible you are reading; some may mention the word victory or victorious more or less.
Let’s take a look at several scriptures that tell us why we have the victory and why we can be victorious in every aspect of our lives.
1 John 5:4-
Because everyone who is born from God has overcome the World, our faith is the victory that overcomes the World.
ISV
Deuteronomy 20:4
For the Lord, your God, goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you victory.
B.S.B.
Sometimes, it will be difficult for you not to do something wrong. Or it will be difficult not to think something wrong. You will have difficulties like this. But they are the same difficulties that every person has. God always does what he has promised to do.
Remember this. He will not let any difficulty be too big for you. He does not want you to do anything wrong because of any difficulty. He will make you strong. He will show you a way out of the difficulty. So, then, you will be able to do what is right.
Easy English
John 16:33
I have said all these things to you so you may have peace in me. In the World, you have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the World.
B.B.E.
Jesus is already the victorious ruler of the World; we need to acknowledge it in our lives.
I was preparing for the children’s bible study the other day, and their book defined victory as “when you win.” How simply beautiful is that?
There are numerous stories in the Bible about people who, like us, have won in trials and tribulations, overcome struggles, and defeated significant obstacles because of their faith. These individuals believed that God was fighting their battles, and they drew strength from the fact that Jesus had already overcome the World.

10 Bible Characters Who Persevered Through Struggle (tithe.ly)
Joseph the Dreamer
Joseph was most beloved by his father, Jacob, yet hated by his half-brothers. Joseph struggled at home and in a foreign land. Joseph’s brothers loathed him at home because of the dreams he told them about. He had dreams about his brothers bowing down to him, and their father saw it as God’s prophecy for the family. Driven by envy, the brothers sold Joseph to traveling merchants, making their father believe Joseph was dead.
Joseph’s misfortunes continued in Egypt as he was imprisoned because of a false accusation. Joseph used God’s gifts to help the Pharaoh lead the people during a famine. In return, Joseph received his life’s greatest blessings—an admirable job, a family, and, most importantly, reconciliation and reunion with his brothers and father.
“God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God.”
Genesis 45:7-8
God has plans for all of us, whether we struggle at home or in a foreign place. Just like with Joseph, God’s favors return to us in places and ways we least expect as long as we remain faithful to Him.
I chose to focus on Joseph’s story because it is complex and detailed. It’s worth noting that Jacob’s favoritism towards Joseph, which was encouraged by his actions, sparked resentment among his siblings and created a rift in the family.
On Joseph’s part, he probably felt special
and didn’t help matters when he shared his dream with his brothers, revealing that he would one day rule over them. This only added to the tension and led to a plan to eliminate him. Despite facing numerous challenges, Joseph persevered and ultimately emerged victorious.
Moses, a Reluctant Leader
Moses never thought of leading the exodus of God’s people to the Promised Land. He was just a shepherd and “was slow of speech and tongue.” However, Moses’ encounter with God made all the difference.
Facing plagues, the Pharaoh’s army, and stubborn people, Moses had many struggles that would have made any leader give up. Far worse were the internal battles that Moses had. After all they had endured since leaving Egypt, Moses doubted whether God would save His people.
Despite his struggles, Moses persevered and believed in God, as he shared in this verse:
“Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.”
Exodus 14:13-15
Moses’ perseverance reminds us to always call upon God, for He will surely deliver us from all our challenges, even if it seems impossible.
Moses is a character that I deeply resonate with as I believe that we all have certain insecurities that hold us back from achieving our true potential.
These insecurities can sometimes be so overwhelming that they impede our desires and aspirations.
I have personally experienced this, and overcoming these challenges has been a continuous struggle. However, I have learned that pushing through these insecurities is vital to unlocking our full potential.
My journey through these insecurities has not always been easy, and there have been moments where I have doubted myself and felt uncomfortable. However, I have realized these feelings are a byproduct of growth and transformation. I believe God has a plan for each of us, and sometimes, we need to push past our insecurities to fulfill that plan.
Jesus Christ
This list would be incomplete without including Jesus. No suffering comes close to the experiences Jesus had from the Mount of Olives to His crucifixion on Calvary. Jesus could have chosen another path, but He obediently followed God the Father’s plans for the salvation of everyone.
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”
Luke 22:42
Jesus experienced anguish in body and spirit. It took all His strength to carry the cross and suffer on behalf of the sins of humanity. Jesus sacrificed to show how much He loves us.
The reason why I hold great admiration for Jesus (besides the obvious) is because He underwent many trials and tribulations people used him, and they talked about him behind and in front of Him; he could trust no one; of the few that were by His side, one of them betrayed Him.
The only good thing about that is that Jesus knew his betrayers. Despite this, He remained pure and blameless. Remarkably, Jesus did not deserve any mistreatment He received, yet He emerged victorious over all the nay-sayers magnificently. Jesus’ resilience and strength in the face of adversity are genuinely inspiring. And with everything that has happened Jesus is yet interceding for us. Thank You Jesus!

Luke 14:28-31
28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
29 For if you lay the foundation and cannot finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you,
30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
31 “Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he can, with ten thousand men, oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
Identify and admit the problem or challenge before taking action.
When we compare God’s way to the world’s way, we often find that worldly desires are driven by temporary pleasures, instant gratification, and self-centeredness. On the other hand, God’s way focuses on love, compassion, selflessness, and leading a purpose-driven life.
By choosing to do it God’s way, we strive to align our actions and decisions with His teachings and principles. This means seeking wisdom and guidance from Scripture, cultivating a strong relationship with God through prayer, and following the example of Jesus Christ.
Yes, doing it God’s way can be challenging at times. It may require us to step out of our comfort zones, to stand firm in our convictions even when faced with opposition, and to trust in God’s plan even when it seems difficult or confusing. However, the rewards far outweigh the trials.
When we choose to do it God’s way,
we experience a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose, knowing that we are living in alignment with our Creator’s intentions for our lives. We find peace in knowing that we are following the path that leads to eternal life and everlasting joy. We find strength in the promises of God, knowing that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Know that though the journey may not always be easy, it is one filled with immeasurable blessings and the assurance that you will never regret walking in the light of His love.

I pray this has encouraged you to take that leap of faith or that step towards victory. It is often said that success lies just beyond our comfort zones. By embracing challenges and stepping out of our familiar routines, we create opportunities for growth and achievement. The path to victory may not always be easy, but it is through overcoming obstacles that we truly discover our strength and resilience.
Sometimes, all it takes is a single moment of courage to propel us forward towards our goals. It might be starting a new venture, pursuing a passion, or making a life-changing decision. Regardless of the specific pursuit, the important thing is to have faith in yourself and trust that you have what it takes to succeed.
I encourage you to take that leap of faith or that step towards victory. Embrace the unknown with open arms and trust that you are capable of achieving great things. Believe in yourself and let your determination guide you towards success. The journey may not always be smooth, but the rewards that await you on the other side are well worth the effort.
