When things go wrong

When things go wrong, our life may be forced to slow down unexpectedly.

This week on my platforms, I will be discussing when life throws you a curveball – mainly health, mental issues, and all the in-betweens.

A diagnosis, an injury, chronic pain, or emotional wounds can leave us wondering whether we’ll ever feel like ourselves again. When your body hurts, your heart is heavy, and your mind is full of questions, it’s easy to believe your setback has become your destination. But setbacks are temporary pauses, not permanent endings.

Sickness, hurt, and pain often leave us feeling isolated. We watch life go on while we struggle to make it through another day. Yet even in those difficult moments, God has not stepped away. He is present at every doctor’s appointment, every sleepless night, every tear, and every prayer whispered through trembling lips. He is not waiting for you to become stronger before He comes near. He meets you exactly where you are and walks beside you, step by step.

If today is hard, give yourself permission to heal. Rest without guilt. Ask for help when you need it. Celebrate the smallest victories, whether it’s getting out of bed, taking a short walk, or simply finding the strength to smile again. Remember, healing often happens gradually, not overnight. This season is only a chapter in your story, not the final page. God is still writing your testimony, and what feels like a setback today may become the very story that encourages someone else tomorrow.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10
