Mistakes that paid off

Mistakes that paid off in the end are usually not realized until the end of the lesson, most of the time.

When I was younger and looked back on my mistakes, I became discouraged. Sometimes I wondered why it took me so long to learn those lessons. One thing I have learned is that until you learn the lesson, you will keep repeating the same mistakes. Life was refusing to let me move forward with something that would keep breaking me or eventually destroy me.

It’s so clear now. And because I can see the pattern, it means I’m not the same person anymore. I am growing, and I’m more aware. Amen.

However, there is another thing I noticed. I have learned valuable lessons from many of my mistakes. Either it has made my walk smoother, or I am able to share with others to help them along this journey called life.

Either way, my mistakes were not wasted.

And guess what? Yours are not either. The truth is repetition doesn’t make you foolish-it reveals what still needs healing, discipline, or surrender. Once you truly get it, the cycle breaks.
